Many pediatric occupational therapists integrate game play into their practice to develop and reinforce a wide range of cognitive, motor, and social skills. Children easily bore of worksheets and traditional exercises; skill-based games provide a winning solution for kids, parents, and therapists. PediaStaff has partnered with Blue Orange Games to offer therapists engaging games and ideas to target a range of learning needs. Blue Orange will donate games to PediaStaffs clinical lending library on an ongoing basis and provide games for professional assessment on the growing network of therapists blogs.
Blue Oranges educational games are compact and perfect for therapists who are always on the move and don’t usually have classrooms of their own. The games are easily adaptable for kids with special needs and are fun for neurotypical family members. The price is right too, so parents can carryover work at home, and theyre affordable for schools with limited budgets. I think the OTs visiting our booth will be very interested to see how they can use their games to advance therapy goals, said Heidi Kay, Senior Partner and co-founder of PediaStaff.
With thousands of followers to their blog, social media accounts, and e-newsletter, PediaStaff has established itself as the premier resource for occupational therapists and speech language pathologists working with children. “We’re very excited to have the support of such a recognized company as PediaStaff, which has been so successful at building and serving an online community of pediatric therapists. Over the last few years, more and more therapists have reached out to us to say how appropriate our games are for their patients. Last year we did our first promotion with OTs and SLPs. We gave away hundreds of Spot it! games, which appeal to both fields, as it works on visual perception, attention, fine motor skills, word retrieval, articulation, and more. The response was amazing! said Adeline Bertrix, Marketing Manager at Blue Orange Games.
Blue Orange Games recognized an important and enthusiastic audience in pediatric therapists. The company plans to direct more of their communication efforts on this group moving forward.
Blue Orange has always been about children and skill development. Through our partnership with PediaStaff, we can further our mission and help therapists help children. We look forward to sharing our games and trading feedback face to face with OTs at the conference, said Bertrix.
